Work Model: Fully Remote (Field Territory Role)
Territory: Northern Alberta / Northeast British Columbia (Canada)
Travel: 40% overnight travel
We are seeking a Technical Sales Representative to grow and maintain the General Industrial business across Northern Alberta and Northeast BC. This role is responsible for developing new business, expanding key accounts, and supporting distributor/channel partners by delivering technical adhesive solutions that improve customer operations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong sales mindset combined with mechanical aptitude and curiosity around manufacturing and maintenance processes.
Key Responsibilities
Territory Sales & Growth
- Grow and manage General Industrial Adhesive Technologies business within the assigned territory.
- Execute a Territory Business Plan focused on growth of key markets and targeted accounts.
- Identify and develop new value‑added opportunities to expand sales and market presence.
- Prospect for new business within existing and targeted manufacturing/maintenance accounts.
- Achieve monthly/quarterly revenue objectives through strong time & territory management.
Customer Engagement & Solution Selling
- Establish and maintain relationships with key end users, customers, and distributors.
- Understand customer operations and pain points to recommend appropriate adhesive solutions.
- Sell and support manufacturing & maintenance adhesive solutions at existing/new accounts.
- Conduct customer‑facing training, product demonstrations, and group seminars.
Channel / Distribution Partner Support
- Collaborate, educate, and motivate distribution partners to promote and sell solutions.
- Support distribution partnership plans and drive strong channel execution.
- Provide market feedback to marketing teams to support product/program alignment.
Reporting & Compliance
- Operate within approved expense plan.
- Participate in training, meetings, and other activities assigned by Regional Manager.
Required Qualifications (Must-Haves)
- Post‑secondary or Technical Education required (University Degree preferred)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in manufacturing and maintenance environments
- Self‑starter with ability to work independently in a remote field environment
- Strong organizational and presentation skills
- Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Must live in the core geography of the territory: Edmonton & immediate area
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to travel: 40% overnight travel
Preferred Qualifications (Nice‑to‑Have)
- Technical sales experience in industrial products (adhesives, coatings, chemicals, MRO supplies, etc.)
- Experience supporting distributors/channel partners
- Familiarity with industrial manufacturing operations, maintenance, or repair processes
