A local government organization is seeking a part-time Recreation Team Member to enhance customer experience at the Birkenhead Pool and Leisure Centre. You will deliver exceptional service, supervise activities for children, and maintain a positive environment. Ideal candidates will be passionate about sports and recreation, and a First Aid Certificate is required, though training is available. This role offers flexible hours and the opportunity to contribute positively to the local community.
Birkenhead Pool and Leisure Centre is one of New Zealand’s leading Sports and Rec Facilities. As Recreation Team Member, you will play a key part to improve the customer experience for all Aucklanders that visit our Centre to another level.
You will help us deliver an exciting range of community fitness and school holiday programmes. This role will see you working with school students and community groups across the Auckland region.
In this frontline role, your responsibilities will include:
This is a permanent part-time position of 8 hours per week, with opportunities for additional hours.
Work shift: Tuesday 12:45pm – 9:15pm
You will already be passionate about sports and recreation and be ready to step into a front‑line customer service role.
You will need a First Aid Certificate; however, we can help you attain this if you do not have one.

Salary range: 28.95/hr (living wage)
