Tax Manager – Public Accounting (Full-Time)

Client is seeking a Tax Manager to join its tax team on a full-time basis in Toronto, ON.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with tax partners on complex tax planning and compliance engagements while supporting audit and assurance teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare tax planning memos and support implementation

  • Research and resolve complex Canadian tax issues

  • Acquisition structuring and due diligence

  • Review personal, corporate, trust, and partnership tax returns

  • Liaise with the Canada Revenue Agency on client matters

  • Support income tax and GST/HST audits

  • Mentor and train junior staff

Qualifications:
  • CPA designation (Chartered Professional Accountant)
  • Completion or ongoing enrollment in an In-Depth Tax Course
  • 5+ years of Canadian tax experience in public accounting, including a minimum of 3 years in a full-time tax role
  • Expertise in Canadian Controlled Private Corporations (CCPC) tax planning
  • Experience with HST compliance and planning (considered an asset)Strong communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
