Are you a tax professional ready to step into a leadership role in a close-knit community where you can make a real impact? Our client, a well-established and reputable public accounting firm, is seeking a Tax Manager to join their growing practice in Surrey, BC. This is a rare opportunity to lead client engagements, work directly with a partner, and accelerate your career growth in an environment that values mentorship, collaboration, and excellence. You are also required to travel to Northern BC as a part of this role.


Base pay range


CA$95,000.00 / yr - CA$120,000.00 / yr


What You’ll Do


  • Lead and review a variety of tax and accounting engagements, including corporate, personal, trust, and estate returns, along with CRA reviews and review engagements.

  • Build strong, long-term client relationships, offering proactive advice and identifying opportunities to add value.

  • Mentor CPA students and junior staff, providing training and guidance to help them excel.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure quality control, efficient scheduling, and successful engagement delivery.

  • Play an active role in community networking and business development.


What You Bring


  • CPA designation or near completion of CPA with public practice experience.

  • Strong technical skills in tax compliance, tax planning, and financial reporting.

  • Experience managing client files, delegating work, and leading a team.

  • Proficiency with Caseware, Taxprep, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Relocation assistance for out-of-town candidates.
