A leading food service provider in Toronto is seeking a Supervisor for Retail Food Services to oversee daily operations, manage staff, and ensure compliance with food safety standards. The role involves training employees, handling customer inquiries, and maintaining operational efficiency. Ideal candidates should have a high school diploma, strong supervisory skills, and a solid understanding of food safety regulations. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is required, along with the physical ability to stand for long periods.

The Supervisor Retail Food Services supervises daily food service operations, including opening and closing the store, staff coordination, customer service, and compliance with food safety and company standards.
Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the retail food service location
Open and close the store, including cash counts, safe procedures, and security checks
Schedule, assign, and monitor staff duties and shift coverage
Train new employees on food preparation, customer service, and safety procedures
Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
Monitor product quality, portion control, and presentation standards
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and service recovery professionally
Manage cash handling, POS operations, and end-of-day reconciliation
Maintain inventory levels, place supply orders, and receive deliveries
Ensure cleanliness of food prep, service, and dining areas
Enforce company policies and workplace safety standards
Assist with performance feedback and basic employee evaluations
Support sales goals through efficient service and team leadership

High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary training in hospitality or food services an asset)
Demonstrated ability to supervise, train, and motivate staff
Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
Experience with scheduling, inventory control, and ordering supplies
Ability to ensure quality customer service and resolve customer concerns
Basic cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) system experience
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physically able to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting
