A leading global mining company is seeking a Manager of Strategic Partnerships to help develop and execute their partnership strategies. This role involves managing customer relationships and driving business growth while working closely with various teams. Applicants should have at least 10 years of experience in commercial roles, particularly in heavy industries, and possess strong negotiation skills. Fluency in Mandarin is preferred. The position is based in Ontario, Canada with potential travel requirements.

The Manager, Strategic Partnerships is responsible for supporting the development and execution of Fortescue’s partnership and commercialisation strategies to drive growth, innovation, and market expansion. Reporting to the Head of Commercial, this role manages key customer and partner relationships, identifies new business opportunities, and delivers commercial outcomes that align with Fortescue’s decarbonisation and industrial transformation objectives.
The position plays a critical role in executing partnership initiatives, including market research, opportunity assessment, proposal development, and contract negotiation and drafting, ensuring seamless collaboration between external partners and internal stakeholders. Working cross-functionally with Product, Commercial, and Operational teams, the Manager ensures that Fortescue’s partnership strategies are effectively translated into tangible business results and long-term value creation.
This role combines strong commercial acumen, stakeholder management, and market insight to expand Fortescue’s partnership base, enhance customer engagement, and contribute to the delivery of the company’s broader commercial and sustainability ambitions.
