Job summary

Dollarama in Canada is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily retail operations, drive sales, and ensure customer satisfaction. You will act as Manager on Duty in the absence of the Store Manager.

This role requires at least two years in retail with supervisory experience, strong leadership and communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Open availability for day, evening and weekend shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of retail experience.
• At least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Helping with merchandising, stocking, and unpacking daily shipments.
• Providing exceptional customer service and resolving escalated issues.
• Training, coaching, and developing employees.
• Performing cash management, store opening and closing duties as needed.
• Assigning tasks to the team and ensuring store safety and cleanliness.
• Conducting regular performance evaluations and providing feedback.
• Ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards.
• Maintaining visual merchandising standards.
• Responsible for hiring and performance management.
