Job summary

Dollarama in Winnipeg, MB is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily retail operations, drive customer satisfaction, and help meet sales goals. This role acts as Manager on Duty in the Store Manager’s absence, overseeing staff and store processes.

You’ll assist with merchandising, training, cash handling, opening and closing duties, and ensuring safety and cleanliness. Strong leadership, communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of retail experience.
• At least two years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Helping with merchandising, stocking, and unpacking daily shipments.
• Providing exceptional customer service and resolving escalated issues.
• Training, coaching, and developing employees.
• Performing cash management, store opening and closing duties as needed.
• Assigning tasks to the team and ensuring store safety and cleanliness.
