Job summary

Dollarama is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to support daily retail operations and customer satisfaction. You will act as Manager on Duty in the absence of the Store Manager, help with staffing, coaching, merchandising, and ensuring safety standards.

The role emphasizes leadership, communication, and decision-making skills, with strong focus on achieving sales goals and maintaining high service levels in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of retail experience.
• At least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in overseeing daily retail operations.
• Act as Manager on Duty in the Store Manager’s absence.
• Assist with staffing, coaching, and staff development.
• Contribute to merchandising, stocking, and unpacking shipments.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve escalated issues.
• Perform cash handling, opening and closing duties as needed.
• Assign tasks to the team and ensure store safety and cleanliness.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and company policies.
