Job summary

Dollarama is seeking an Assistant Team Leader to support management in daily retail store operations, ensuring excellent service and an organized store environment. You will help manage staff, assist with shipments, stock shelves, and uphold safety and cleanliness standards.

The role requires roughly one year in retail and at least one year in supervision, with flexible day/evening/weekend availability and strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Approximately one (1) year of relevant experience in the retail industry.
• At least one (1) year in a supervisory role.
• Flexible availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Customer service-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist the management team in managing store operations and staff.
• Box and unbox daily shipments.
• Stock daily products on shelves.
• Climb ladders to reach all areas of the store.
• Provide good customer service and resolve customer issues.
• Ensure store safety and cleanliness standards are maintained.
• Perform cash management, store opening and closing duties as needed.
• Follow up on assigned tasks.
• Conduct manager-on-duty tasks: ensure breaks, time and attendance are tracked and participate in hiring and performance management.
