Job summary

Dollarama in Delta, BC is hiring an Assistant Store Manager who supports the Store Manager in daily retail operations, ensures customer satisfaction, and helps hit sales goals. You will act as Manager on Duty in the manager’s absence and guide the team during shifts.

You’ll assist with merchandising, stocking, and orders, train and coach staff, manage cash, and lead opening/closing duties while maintaining safety and visual standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of retail experience.
• At least two years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Help with merchandising, stocking, and unpacking daily shipments.
• Provide customer service and resolve escalated issues.
• Train, coach, and develop employees.
• Perform cash management and opening/closing duties.
• Assign tasks to the team and ensure store safety and cleanliness.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and safety standards.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards.
• Participate in hiring and performance management.
