Job summary

Dollarama is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, drive sales, and ensure exceptional customer service. You will act as Manager on Duty in the Store Manager for coverage and help lead the team.

With 2+ years in retail and at least 2 years in a supervisory role, you will coach staff, manage cash and inventory, and uphold safety and visual standards while delivering a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of retail experience.
• At least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Helping with merchandising, stocking, and unpacking daily shipments.
• Providing exceptional customer service and resolving escalated issues.
• Training, coaching, and developing employees.
• Performing cash management, store opening and closing duties as needed.
• Assigning tasks to the team and ensuring store safety and cleanliness.
• Conducting regular performance evaluations and providing feedback.
• Ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards.
• Maintaining visual merchandising standards.
• Responsible for hiring and performance management.
