Job summary

Dollarama in Calgary is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily store operations, drive customer satisfaction, and help achieve sales goals. You will act as Manager on Duty in the manager's absence and mentor frontline staff.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment. Open availability including evenings and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• Two years of retail experience.
• At least two years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with daily operations and staff management.
• Support merchandising, stocking, and daily shipments.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve issues.
• Train, coach, and develop employees.
• Perform cash management and opening/closing duties.
• Ensure store safety, cleanliness, and compliance.
