Job summary

Dollarama in Maple Ridge is seeking an Assistant Team Leader to support the management team in daily store operations, ensure outstanding customer service, and maintain an organized, efficient shopping environment.

You will help manage staff and store tasks, boxing shipments, stocking products, and handling opening/closing duties. Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership are essential, with flexible day/evening/weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Approximately one year of relevant experience in retail.
• At least one year in a supervisory role.
• Flexible availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Customer service-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the management team in managing store operations and staff.
• Boxing and unboxing daily shipments.
• Stocking daily products on shelves.
• Climbing ladders to reach all areas of the store.
• Providing good customer service and resolving customer issues.
• Ensuring store safety and cleanliness standards are maintained.
• Performing cash management, store opening and closing duties as needed.
• Following up on assigned tasks.
• Conducting manager-on-duty tasks: ensuring breaks, time and attendance are tracked and participating in hiring/performance management.
