Job summary

Dollarama in Canada is seeking an Assistant Team Leader to support the management team in executing daily retail operations and delivering excellent customer service. You will help manage staff, oversee shipments, stock shelves, and ensure safety and cleanliness across the store.

The role requires about one year in retail with at least one year in a supervisory capacity, plus flexible day/evening/weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Approximately one year of relevant experience in retail.
• At least one year in a supervisory role.
• Flexible availability including days, evenings, and weekends.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support management in daily store operations and staff.
• Box and unbox daily shipments.
• Stock products on shelves.
• Access hard-to-reach areas using ladders.
• Provide good customer service and resolve issues.
• Maintain store safety and cleanliness standards.
• Handle cash management and opening/closing duties.
• Follow up on assigned tasks and participate in hiring and performance processes.
