Job summary

Dollarama is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily retail operations, drive customer satisfaction, and meet sales goals. The role acts as Manager on Duty when the Store Manager is absent, coordinating staff and operations across shifts.

You should bring at least two years of retail experience, with supervisory exposure, strong leadership, and excellent communication. Open availability for day, evening, and weekend shifts is preferred as the team strives for top performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of retail experience.
• At least two years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager with daily operations and staff management.
• Help with merchandising, stocking, and unpacking daily shipments.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve escalated issues.
• Train, coach, and develop employees.
• Perform cash management and store opening/closing duties as needed.
• Assign tasks to the team and ensure store safety and cleanliness.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and safety standards.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards.
• Support in hiring and performance management.
