Job summary

Dollarama in Langley, BC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations, drive customer satisfaction, and hit sales goals. The role acts as Manager on Duty in the Manager's absence and involves coaching staff, merchandising, cash handling, and ensuring safety and visual standards.

Open to candidates with at least two years in retail, two years in supervision, flexible availability, strong leadership, communication, and multitasking abilities.

Qualifications

• Two years of retail experience at minimum.
• At least two years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Strong leadership, communication and decision-making skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Helping with merchandising, stocking, and unpacking daily shipments.
• Providing exceptional customer service and resolving escalated issues.
• Training, coaching, and developing employees.
• Performing cash management, store opening and closing duties as needed.
• Assigning tasks to the team and ensuring store safety and cleanliness.
• Conducting regular performance evaluations and providing feedback.
• Ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards.
• Maintaining visual merchandising standards.
• Responsible for hiring and performance management.
