Job summary

Dollarama is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily retail operations and to lead the team in delivering exceptional customer service and achieving sales goals. You will act as Manager on Duty in the Store Manager’s absence, drive merchandising and staff development, and ensure store standards are met.

The role emphasizes leadership, decision-making, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, with open availability for day, evening, and weekend

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of retail experience.
• At least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily retail operations and staff management in absence of Store Manager.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve escalated issues.
• Train, coach, and develop employees.
• Perform cash management and opening/closing duties as needed.
• Maintain visual merchandising and store safety standards.
• Hire and manage performance of team members.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback.
