Job summary

Dollarama is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Vancouver to support the Store Manager in daily retail operations and drive sales. You will act as Manager on Duty in the Manager’s absence and help lead the team to deliver exceptional customer service.

The role requires at least 2 years of retail experience with supervisory responsibilities, open availability, and strong leadership, communication, and decision‑making skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years retail experience.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability including day/evening/weekends.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Merchandising, stocking, and unpacking daily shipments.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve escalated issues.
• Train, coach, and develop employees.
• Manage cash, and perform opening/closing duties as needed.
• Assign tasks and ensure store safety and cleanliness.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
• Adhere to company policies and safety standards.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards.
• Hire and manage performance.
