About the Job You’re Considering

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading wholesale retail client in Canada, focusing on B2B integration and secure file transfer development. The role offers remote flexibility with occasional client visits, allowing you to design and implement solutions that enable seamless business-to-business connectivity and data exchange.

Your Role
  • Design, develop, and support B2B integration solutions using IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG) and Connect:Direct.
  • Configure routing rules, protocols (CD, MQ, API, SFTP, etc.), and manage partner onboarding for B2B transactions.
  • Develop and maintain custom components and scripts to enhance Sterling functionality.
  • Troubleshoot file transfer issues and provide timely resolutions to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
  • Perform system maintenance, upgrades, and patching of Sterling environments.
  • Collaborate with business units and trading partners to implement secure file transfer requirements.
  • Document processes, technical designs, and system changes for compliance and transparency.
  • Ensure adherence to security and audit standards across all B2B integration processes.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers and support teams.
Your Skills and Experience
  • 5+ years of hands‑on development experience with IBM Sterling File Gateway, Connect:Direct, and Control Center.
  • Strong understanding of codelist and SFG routing rules.
  • Experience with protocols such as SFTP, MQ, HTTP/S, AS2, and Connect:Direct.
  • Expertise in partner onboarding and certificate/key management for B2B integrations.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools for Sterling (like IBM Control Center).
  • Solid understanding of file encryption/decryption and secure data transmission.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience in cloud‑based deployments of Sterling (AWS, Azure, etc.).
  • Exposure to DevOps tools for CI/CD in integration environments.
  • Experience with IBM Control Center, Sterling Secure Proxy, or Sterling Connect:Direct.
