• Strong craft and execution: consistently delivers polished UI with good structure and maintainability.
• Excellent HTML/CSS fundamentals and sharp visual implementation skills.
• Strong product judgment and communication: can align with design/product, make tradeoffs, and deliver.
• Comfortable with a fast-paced, high-ownership cadence.

The Opportunity

• Ship high-impact, user-facing features end-to-end: from design review and scoping to implementation, release, and iteration.

• Partner with designers to translate intent into implementation details and refine UX through fast iteration. Build pixel-perfect, responsive UI with excellent attention to layout, typography, motion, and interaction states.

• Improve frontend foundations: reusable component patterns, state/data flows, error handling, and overall maintainability.

• Raise standards via code reviews, mentorship, and pragmatic best practices that help a small team move quickly.

• Improve how the product feels in real usage: smooth interactions, reliable UI behavior, efficient rendering, and healthy build/bundle setup.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years building production web applications (or equivalent depth).

• Deep experience with React + TypeScript and modern frontend tooling.

• Strong craft and execution: consistently delivers polished UI with good structure and maintainability.

• Excellent HTML/CSS fundamentals and sharp visual implementation skills.

• Strong product judgment and communication: can align with design/product, make tradeoffs, and deliver.

• Comfortable with a fast-paced, high-ownership cadence—someone who can push through ambiguity, go deep when needed, and consistently drive work to completion.
  

Nice-to-have

• Practical experience improving build/bundle strategy and runtime performance, including experience with SSR to improve real-world performance.

• Experience building interactive graphics-heavy UIs (canvas/WebGL), creative tooling, or computational-geometry-style features.

• Experience guiding architecture decisions and mentoring engineers.
