What you will be doing:
  • Prepare and review complex U.S. and Canadian personal income tax returns for high-net-worth individuals with cross-border tax obligations
  • Conduct detailed technical research and analysis on U.S., Canadian, and treaty-based tax issues (e.g., residency determinations, treaty tie-breaker rules, sourcing rules, FTC optimization)
  • Identify and assess client-specific tax planning opportunities and exposures; proactively escalate to managers/partners as appropriate
  • Liaise directly with clients, and internal engagement teams
  • Act as primary point of contact for assigned client files, managing communications, information requests, and project timelines
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing coaching, feedback, and technical support
  • Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing (e.g., prepare technical briefs, update templates, lead training sessions)
  • Support continuous improvement efforts (e.g., process documentation, automation tools, template refinement)
What you must have:
  • Canadian or US CPA designation (or in final stages of completion) or US Enrolled Agent
  • Minimum 3–4 years of experience in public practice, with exposure to U.S. and/or cross-border tax
  • Strong technical knowledge of tax principles, with an eagerness to grow cross-border expertise
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence in managing client relationships and working in a team-based environment
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Salary/Rate Range: $70,000.00 – $85,000.00
