A leading engineering solutions firm in Mississauga seeks an experienced project manager to coordinate roofing remediation projects. This role involves site meetings, quality observations, and preparing technical specifications, requiring 8 to 10 years of relevant experience. The candidate must be adaptable, possess strong communication skills, and have a valid driver's license. In this position, you will be responsible for project investigation, reporting, specification preparation, quality observation, and liaising with clients, contractors, and manufacturers. You must be able to manage multiple projects involving various scopes. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
Work is performed both in an office setting and at outside locations (i.e. industrial, construction and/or residential sites). The employee is frequently required to stand, walk on sloped and flat roofs, sit, climb ladders, bend, climb inside attics, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and drive a motor vehicle to client sites or job sites. Working at heights, including accessing buildings by ladders, swing stages, and mechanical lifts will be necessary. The employee may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Clear vision and depth perception are also necessary. The employee must be sharp, focused, and alert when conducting inspections, speaking, and interacting with clients, preparing drawings and written reports.
There will be some occasions where overtime (or working after normal business hours) will be required to meet the demands of the position.
This position requires up to 80% local area travel. Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be required.
