Overview

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Senior Manager, Commercial Sales on a permanent basis on our Energy Sales & Marketing team. This position is a hybrid opportunity and is based in Saskatoon, SK.

Join our team as the Senior Manager, Commercial Sales and lead the growth of our commercial fuels business by developing strategic sales initiatives, managing key accounts and driving market-driven profitability in a dynamic, fast-paced environment!

What you’ll do
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow FCL and local Co-op commercial fuel business across bulk fuel, cardlock, and fleet card offerings, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business goals.
  • Lead and expand the Fleet Card Program by identifying growth opportunities, collaborating with marketing, and monitoring customer satisfaction and usage metrics.
  • Drive pricing strategy and market intelligence by guiding pricing specialist, conducting competitive analysis, and delivering actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Manage short and long term sales forecasting function using historical data and market trends, ensuring alignment with supply and operations teams and presenting regular updates to leadership.
  • Build and maintain strong commercial and local Co-op relationships, collaborating with internal stakeholders to align product offerings with evolving customer needs.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing sales team, setting clear expectations, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration, and supporting professional development and succession planning.
Who you’ll work with

The Team: You will work closely and lead a team of Specialists, will have 5 direct reports, and will report into the Director, Petroleum. This team strives to cultivate a culture of collaboration, innovation and community.

The Collaborators: You will work closely with other functions in our Energy & Ag business unit and collaborate across the organization with teams such as local Co-op leaders, marketing teams and cross commodity teams.

Who you are

You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and:

  • Have 8+ years of progressively responsible related experience in the petroleum industry and wholesale sales experience; minimum 5 years in business development and/or petroleum sales and marketing
  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Have strong leadership and communication skills.
