Your Role

The Solutions Engineer will serve as the technical expert, interfacing with enterprise customers around the world to help scope and support product integrations from conception to launch. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Brokerage Operations, Sales, and Customer Success.

  • Sales process: Drive product discovery to articulate MVPs and provide product demonstrations.
  • Onboarding Integration: Act as the primary technical resource during the integration project.
  • Post Integration: Deliver additional solutioning, such as implementing new features for partners.
Things You Get To Do
  • Establish yourself as a subject‑matter expert on Alpaca’s API and collaborate with fintechs worldwide.
  • Stay updated on internal product development timelines and work closely with the product team to test and roll out new features to partners.
  • Ensure feature requests or bugs reported by partners are communicated to the product and engineering teams and properly prioritized.
  • Support the sales and success teams with technical advice and actively drive the technology evaluation stage for prospective and current enterprise customers.
  • Attend weekly partner integration meetings with project managers and respond asynchronously to questions related to the product offering.
  • Create internal and external resources that can be leveraged by partners and internal teams.
Who You Are (Must‑Haves)
  • Enterprise‑level business project experience with strong process, analysis, design, and documentation skills. Prior consulting experience is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, capable of driving clarity on goals and expectations.
  • Demonstrated problem‑solving ability and attention to detail with a track record of delivering high‑quality output on time.
  • Strong technical background:
    • RDBMS experience (PostgreSQL). Familiarity with Metabase is a plus.
    • Experience with modern APIs (REST, WebSockets, Server‑Sent Events).
    • Experience with enterprise software implementations.
    • Strong technical troubleshooting skills and experience with issue management (JIRA) and API logging tools.
    • Familiarity with Postman and curl requests.
  • Flexibility to collaborate with customers globally.
  • Interest in FinTech, financial markets, and investing applications. FinTech work experience—especially with a broker‑dealer business—is a plus.
  • Startup mindset.
Who You Might Be (Nice‑to‑Haves)
  • Background in sales or customer success, leading the customer experience through pre‑sales and post‑sales.
  • Programming experience (typically Golang).
  • Experience with version control (Git).
  • Experience with FIX protocol is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Readme and OpenAPI YAML specification documentation best practices.
