A leading technology firm in Ontario is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to ensure that application architecture meets evolving business requirements. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of software engineering experience and 5+ years in the banking sector. Responsibilities include providing architectural guidance and optimizing technology solutions. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required. The position is hybrid with onsite work two times a week and offers a 6-month contract with potential extensions.
Business group: GTA Business Support & Engineering; Project: multiple projects within Capital Markets and Core banking area. The Senior Solutions Architect ensures that the applications architecture and infrastructure supporting major, highly complex applications are designed to meet evolving business requirements and meet standards for reliability, scalability and availability. The incumbent will provide architecture and technology guidance on all projects to ensure consistency in approaches and to optimize technology synergy. The Solutions Architect also provides expertise and counsel ensuring technology teams and business areas understand all the options and technology choices in support of their business. The Solutions Architect is a technology and business expert with strong leadership and facilitation skills with the ability to influence others.
Bachelor (equivalent or higher) degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related.
The Solution Architect provides expert advice and counsel to Corporate, Business Partner and/or IT areas on complex issues related to area of specialty. This position may have multiple concurrent initiatives occurring at any one time. The incumbent must ensure high availability, integrity and reliability of programs developed where the consequences of error could expose the Bank to a significant loss or undue risk.
