Solar Installation Labourer

Reporting to the Site Supervisor, the Installation Labourer will be responsible for the installation of solar panels, meeting daily / weekly metrics and ensuring the safety of themselves and those around them.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Measure, cut, and assemble the support structure for solar panels.
  2. Erecting and assembling ground mount racking and panels.
  3. Fastening racking systems to support the solar modules.
  4. Handling and fastening of solar modules.
  5. Coordinating project tools, equipment and supplies to ensure all required items are prepared for transport to installation sites.
  6. Inspecting your work to ensure the installation of solar panel racking components meet specifications.
  7. Complete site checks and cleanup at conclusion of each day.
  8. Assist with setup and tear down of job sites.
  9. Committed to safe work practices in accordance with miEnergy Safety procedures and policies.

Requirements:

  1. Proven safety attitude and excellent attendance history.
  2. Required: A valid Driver’s License.
  3. In possession of a smartphone and be proficient with technology.
  4. Industry or trade experience in solar is considered an asset.
  5. Ability to prioritize and multitask in a demanding environment.
  6. Ability to take direction and follow instructions.
  7. Must have a strong work ethic, focus and accountability to meeting metrics.
  8. Able to work effectively in teams as well as independently.
