Our client, a software industry leader for over thirty years, has engaged ROSS (www.getROSS.com) to help them recruit an embedded Software Developer. ROSS is a team of People Specialists helping companies align their People Strategy with their business growth. We provide remote or onsite HR and Recruitment solutions such as Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) and Recruitment Augmentation complimented by leading edge open-source HRIS software.

The Software Developer participates in the development, coding, and debugging of either new software products or enhancements to existing software, under the general direction of his or her direct supervisor. Job responsibilities include working independently or under the direction of a team leader in creating modules, subsystems, or applications primarily in Java, but occasionally also using other development tools. You will work as necessary with modules or subsystems for core document accounting applications, embedded applications development, or customized applications and extensions developed for our customers or OEM partners.

Requirements

• Qualifications include a degree or diploma in Computer Science or Engineering.
• 8 or more years experience with Java development, including multithreaded programming is required.
• Must have excellent trouble-shooting and debugging skills.

Assets

• Experience developing on Java Platform Micro Edition (Java ME, J2ME) for embedded environments is a definite asset.
• Experience with OOD
• Experience with JUnit, Ant, Eclipse
