Job description
Position Overview

The Logistics / Delivery Coordinator supports wind farm construction projects by managing the delivery, receipt, inspection, and movement of wind turbine components, tooling, and materials. This role serves as the on-site point of contact for transportation activities, ensuring deliveries are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project schedules while minimizing delays and logistical risks.

Key Responsibilities
Delivery Coordination
  • Coordinate delivery of wind turbine major and minor components, construction tooling, and related materials to site.
  • Review and validate transport routes to ensure compliance with delivery specifications and prevent delivery or offloading delays.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all trucks and drivers arriving on site, ensuring site crews are prepared to receive and offload equipment.
  • Proactively manage unexpected or early arrivals to mitigate schedule disruption.
Inspection & Inventory Management
  • Coordinate inspection, receipt, and inventory of components and tooling upon arrival to site.
  • Maintain accurate records of delivery documentation, inspection reports, and inventory status.
  • Identify and report transport damage, delivery issues, and potential schedule impacts.
Returns & Shipping
  • Coordinate and support shipping frame, tooling, and equipment returns in accordance with project and vendor requirements.
Site Infrastructure Readiness
  • Monitor and report the condition of site access roads, string roads, storage areas, and turbine pad sites.
  • Review site infrastructure readiness to ensure safe and efficient delivery and staging of components.
Performance Tracking & Documentation
  • Track logistics performance metrics and maintain documentation related to deliveries, time tracking, HSE incidents, and other logistics data.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting aligned with project requirements.
Communication & Issue Resolution
  • Communicate delivery and shipment status to project stakeholders, working closely with the Logistics Project Manager (remote) and site leadership.
  • Proactively identify and resolve logistical issues and site roadblocks to maintain schedule continuity.
Planning & Meetings
  • Participate in daily logistics calls and on-site coordination meetings as directed by the Logistics Project Manager or Site Manager.
  • Support development of daily delivery plans and provide regular reports outlining planned deliveries for upcoming days and weeks.
Additional Support
  • Assist with site inspections prior to major deliveries.
  • Provide logistics support related to transport roads, laydown yards, ports, and shippers as required.
