Infra Pipe Solutions has over 60 years of experience specializing in the design, manufacturing, and custom fabrication of engineered polyethylene systems for water, wastewater, and storm water management applications. We offer full-service engineering support in the design and manufacture of custom systems to meet project-specific requirements.

The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for loading and unloading trailers, processing shipment orders, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean and safe shipping environment. This role supports overall plant operations by coordinating the flow of materials and finished products, in alignment with safety and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sort, package, and load finished products onto flatbed trucks, ensuring products are free from damage and loaded according to safety protocols.
  • Prepare shipments by pulling, assembling, palletizing, stretch‑wrapping, packaging, and labeling materials.
  • Verify all incoming and outgoing shipments by inspecting and counting/measuring to confirm accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Place inventory in designated storage locations and maintain an organized stock area.
  • Deliver materials (e.g., starter pipe, supplies) to various plant areas as needed.
  • Bundle and move pipe to appropriate yard storage areas.
  • Safely operate forklifts and cranes in accordance with company safety policies.
  • Participate in periodic inventory counts within the shipping department.
  • Support and participate in LEAN and 5S initiatives.
  • Actively engage in Health & Safety training and promote a safe working environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Communication Requirements

Internal:

  • Plant Supervisors, Crew Leaders, and Operational Support Teams – coordinate, clarify, and exchange shipment‑related information.
Qualifications
Experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Previous lead hand experience considered an asset.
  • Proven forklift experience, including handling 20,000 – 30,000 lb equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude; proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Familiarity with 5S and Lean Manufacturing practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other standard computer applications.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent: Standing, walking, handling materials (light and heavy), lifting (light <27 kg), pushing, pulling, stretching, bending, twisting.
  • Occasional: Lifting (heavy/assisted >27 kg), carrying, climbing, detailed hand/finger movements, confined work areas, prolonged concentration.
  • Must regularly lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift or move coils up to 80 lbs.
  • Stacking coils up to six feet in height may be required.
Work Environment
  • Exposure to a typical manufacturing environment with potential for noise, dirt, dust, temperature changes, and moving mechanical equipment.
  • PPE required: steel‑toe shoes, hearing protection, safety goggles.
  • Frequent deadlines and interruptions.
  • Occasional travel and extended hours may be required.
