Senior Web Developer

📍 Remote (Canada) | Hybrid Available – Kitchener, ON 🧑💼 Reports to: Software Development Manager

Level: Senior-level IC Salary range: $120,000 – $135,000 (CAD)

📌 About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Web Developer to join our dynamic team at a B2B SaaS company. Applying your previous experience, you will have an immediate impact in one of our Agile teams working along side product management and design. We deploy code to production often so your ability to thrive in a continuous integration environment will be a key asset. You have strong Typescript, React, HTML, CSS experience including working with design systems. Bonus points for server development, mobile development, and/or infrastructure experience.

What You’ll be Doing
  • Solution - Work cross-functionally with our product and design team to understand the problem to be solved and lead efforts to define how to solve that problem.
  • Code - Join a results-driven Agile team to implement features, fix bugs, and refactor code where necessary. We use tools such as Jira, GitHub, Confluence, and Slack to help get work done.
  • Test - Understand how our product works and how to test it. Design and implement automated tests in our CI pipeline to ensure your code is safe to run in production.
  • Learn - We focus on continuous improvement and encourage everyone to utilize their professional development budget. You will have ample opportunities to investigate custom components, and optimize our code to help us scale our product for long-term growth.
  • Collaborate - Work with developers, QA, product, and design providing two way feedback to create the best field documentation platform for restoration contractors.
  • Grow - Continue to broaden your skills in areas of our product that are critical to our rapidly growing customer base.
What You’ll Bring
  • A Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a full-stack software developer or as a developer with focus and expertise in front-end technologies.
  • A passion for learning and continuous improvement but also a bias towards action and driving to achieve results.
  • A demonstrated understanding of how large complex systems work. Can clearly describe previous systems and which components you worked on.
  • A demonstrated ability to understand and balance business requirements and technical prerequisites to achieve product and architecture goals.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience working in a CICD environment and developing automated tests
  • Experience working in Agile teams using Jira and GitHub is considered an asset
  • Experience implementing design systems is an asset.
