What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Architect, design, build, and operate end‑to‑end solutions for collecting and processing Open‑Telemetry signals
• Manage global and regional storage and query backends for metrics, traces, and logs
• Define and implement tools for querying and visualizing large volumes of active time series data
• Evaluate and implement new features for logging, trace analytics, and application profiling
• Collaborate with product engineering teams to enhance the observability platform

What is Required (Qualifications)

• 5+ years of experience building distributed systems in Java, Golang, or Python, specifically in Kubernetes environments
• 2+ years working on an SRE, DevOps, observability, or similar platform engineering team
• Deep experience with Prometheus, AlertManager, and Grafana
• Proven experience operating in‑house observability infrastructure and being on‑call for it
• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Experience operating highly scalable observability backends like VictoriaMetrics, Cortex, or Elastic
• Familiarity with federating multiple observability backends across cloud regions
• Experience building and operating Kubernetes clusters in AWS, GCP, and Azure
• Developed custom components for OpenTelemetry or Kubernetes operators
