Join a small, agile team of senior engineers building a new mobile game from the ground up. You’ll design, implement and own core systems while helping shape the team’s technical direction. Key Responsibilities
  • Translate rough ideas into functional prototypes and implement game features and systems, enabling swift iteration and collaboration with a cross‑functional team.
  • Build adaptable and resilient code that will evolve alongside changing requirements.
  • Jump into any engineering problem space required to ship a game – client side, server side, tooling, analytics, etc.
  • Lead the transition from prototype to production‑quality code.
  • Review and provide feedback on peers’ code to ensure quality, efficiency and best practices.
  • Drive game design discussions from the technical side.
  • Write clear technical and process documentation.
  • Profile and debug games to create a high‑performance product for our users.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Minimum Qualifications
  • Professional mobile F2P experience: Solid understanding of mobile free‑to‑play game development principles.
  • 5+ years of professional experience building games in Unity.
  • Experience working on client authoritative applications with needs to reconcile that authority with backend servers.
  • Has shipped or helped scale a successful, 300,000+ DAU, cross‑platform mobile game or app.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Golang experience.
  • Experience with developing core gameplay in an ECS architecture such as Unity’s Entities package, Entitas, Photon Quantum, Flecs, LeoEcsLite.
  • Additional professional software experience in programming languages other than C#.

PeopleFun provides a competitive total compensation package with a pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this US based position is $120,000 to $180,000. Base compensation at PeopleFun is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills and experience. Depending on the position offered, equity, sign‑on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and other benefits.
