Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer ready to take on a leadership role within our expanding team. This position goes beyond development, you’ll help set technical direction, support and mentor colleagues, and play a key part in designing solutions that keep critical industries moving.
The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in Microsoft technologies (C#, ASP.Net, SQL Server), while also demonstrating leadership, communication, and collaboration skills to influence outcomes across teams, clients, and industry partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead investigation, analysis, and resolution of complex software issues and support cases.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers.
- Drive code reviews, promote best practices, and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including clients in the food and manufacturing sectors.
- Act as a trusted advisor during deployments, upgrades, and ongoing system improvements.
- Represent H3O in professional forums, contributing to knowledge sharing and industry-wide initiatives.
- Support and cross-industry improvement projects where applicable.
Essential Skills
- Strong experience with Microsoft Visual Studio (2010–2022, including Compact Framework).
- Expert knowledge of C#, ASP.Net (MVC), JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON.
- Deep understanding of Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, and SQL Server Management Studio.
- Experience with Git/GitHub workflows (branching, pull requests, CI/CD).
- Proficiency with XML handling, Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel), and IIS.
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of VB.Net or legacy Visual Basic 6 systems.
- Familiarity with LINQ to SQL and Kendo UI / Telerik frameworks.
- Experience in Windows Mobile/Tablet development.
- Understanding of PLC ladder logic (Allen Bradley, Siemens).
- Previous work within industrial or food manufacturing settings.
- Awareness of traceability, compliance, or industry-specific standards in food production.
