Job summary

CIMA+ in Canada is seeking a Senior Protection and Control Engineer to join our Western Canada team. You will work with detailed P&C designers on large electrical energy projects, evolving in a multidisciplinary environment across substations and power plants.

You’ll collaborate with clients nationwide, review deliverables, and contribute to safety, reliability, and innovative energy solutions. Hybrid work and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

Electrical engineering degree or equivalent.
12+ years of relevant experience in protection and control.
Experience in design of electrical protection and control systems.
Fluent in English (oral and written).

Responsibilities

Design and review Control and Protection systems for utility and industry projects.
Approve and review project deliverables including one-line diagrams and panel layouts.
Coordinate with engineering teams and project managers from other disciplines.
Prepare project plans, drawings and calculations based on specifications.
Develop protection coordination studies and relay settings; prepare logic files.
Possibly perform site work during startups or commissioning.
