Job summary

CIMA Canada Inc is actively seeking a Protection & Control Engineer to join our Western Canada team. You will work with P&C designers on large electrical energy projects and collaborate across disciplines to deliver robust protection schemes for substations and power plants.

The role demands a university degree in electrical engineering, P.Eng eligibility in Canada, and 6+ years of P&C project experience. Strong English skills and team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• University degree in electrical engineering required.
• P.Eng registration or eligibility preferred in Canada.
• Fluent in English (oral and written).
• Experience in detailed P&C design for utilities is essential.

Responsibilities

• Design and review protection and control drawings for substation and power systems.
• Collaborate with engineering team and project managers across disciplines.
• Prepare plans, drawings and calculations per specifications.
• Develop and QA/QC electrical command and protection panels and diagrams.
• Support site surveys, commissioning and field engineering.
