Job summary

CIMA+ in Canada is seeking an Intermediate Protection and Control (P&C) Engineer to join our Western Canada team. You will work with P&C designers on large electrical energy projects, including substations and renewable energy facilities, across Canada.

Design and review protection and control drawings, coordinate with engineering disciplines, and support commissioning and field engineering. Requires a university degree in electrical engineering, P.Eng eligibility, and 8+ years of P&C

Qualifications

• University degree in electrical engineering.
• P.Eng eligible/registered in Canada (or EBGC).
• 8+ years of experience on P&C projects.
• Fluent in English (oral and written).
• Knowledge of protection and control principles.

Responsibilities

• Design and review protection and control drawings for substations and power systems.
• Collaborate with engineering team and project managers across disciplines.
• Prepare plans, drawings and calculations based on specifications.
• QA/QC of electrical engineering design packages.
• Support commissioning and field engineering.
