Job summary

CIMA Canada Inc is seeking a Senior Protection and Control Engineer to join our Western Canada Energy & Resources team. You will design and review control and protection systems for substations and power plants across Canada, supervise junior engineers, and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams on complex projects.

The role requires a university degree in electrical engineering, 12+ years of experience, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• University degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Registered (or eligible to register) with EBGC or a Canadian PE association.
• 12+ years of relevant experience.
• Fluent in English (oral and written).

Responsibilities

• Design and review Control and Protection systems for utility and industry projects.
• Prepare project plans, drawings and calculations based on specifications.
• Coordinate with engineering disciplines and project managers.
• Perform protection coordination studies and relay settings.
• Supervise joiner engineers and provide guidance on deliverables.
