Description
- As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, cross-functional projects that drive strategic business, technology, and customer initiatives.
- You will ensure to adherence to project management disciplines, delivering projects on time, within scope, and within budget, while mentoring project teams and influencing organizational best practices.
- You will also be expected to follow a hybrid project management approach that integrates Agile methodologies with PMO standards.
- You will deliver complex corporate projects from initiation to closure under tight timelines and competing priorities.
- You will balance strategic oversight with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- You will drive adoption of emerging digital technologies and innovative practices.

Challenges to be Met
- Define project scope aligned with organizational priorities and strategic objectives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights on project feasibility, risks, and benefits realization.
- Manage multiple large-scale projects concurrently, ensuring successful delivery across business and technical domains.
- Oversee creation and maintenance of project artifacts (Charter, Schedule, Management Plan, Risk Register, etc.).
- Drive adherence to Change Management processes and governance standards.
- Lead projects using Waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid methodologies; coach teams on best practices.
- Facilitate key ceremonies: kick-offs, stand-ups, sprint reviews, demos, and retrospectives.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues; escalation as needed.
- Ensure robust quality assurance and change control processes.
- Communicate effectively with sponsors, executives, and cross-functional teams.
- Prepare and present dashboards, status reports, and executive summaries to governance bodies.
- Mentor project managers and team members; foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Facilitate lessons learned, retrospectives and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Enhance division/organization reputation by taking ownership on accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to professional accomplishments.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or related field; Master’s Certificate in Project Management is an asset.
- 8+ years of progressive project management experience, including leadership of large-scale initiatives.
- Proven track record in financial services, fintech, or SaaS environments.
- Expertise in Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies.
- PMP, PgMP, or Scrum Master certification strongly preferred.
- Advanced stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
- Strong financial acumen for budgeting and benefits realization.
- Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Asana, MS Project, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Copilot, Loop).
- Knowledge of Canadian financial regulations, RESP products, or mutual fund distribution.
- Ability to manage ambiguity and change in dynamic environments.
