Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior/Intermediate Mine Water Quality Modeller to join its Environmental Services team. The role supports mining-focused water quality projects and will leverage GoldSim-based modelling to assess contaminant transport in mine-related environments.

The position offers opportunities across Canada with relocation support and travel to field sites/regulators as needed. Ideal candidates have a strong track record in mine water management and environmental assessments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.Sc. in Geochemistry, Hydrogeology, or Earth Sciences/Engineering with a focus on water quality or geochemistry.
• Minimum 10+ years of consulting experience in mining, including mine water quality predictions and modelling.
• Professional registration or eligibility (P.Geo. or P.Eng.) is required.

Responsibilities

• Support geochemical and water quality components of mining projects.
• Lead development and application of mine water quality models using GoldSim.
• Mentor junior modelers and lead multi-discipline water teams.
• Prepare technical reports and QA/QC of documents.
• Travel to lead field work or meet clients/regulators.
