Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer in Canada to lead mine water resources projects, manage multidisciplinary teams, and advance water balance and quality studies. Responsibilities include client engagement, proposal development, and ensuring regulatory compliance with HSSE standards.

The role requires strong hydrology/hydraulics expertise, project leadership, and at least 10 years of relevant experience. Travel to field sites may be required, with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant consulting or regulatory experience.
• Professional registration with a Canadian engineering association (e.g., PEO) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead mine water resources management projects across life of mine phases.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary inputs and integrate findings into defensible recommendations.
• Prepare proposals, work plans, schedules, and budgets; manage projects and tasks.
