Job summary

Stantec seeks a Senior Water Resources Engineer to join the Markham office or other Canadian locations, focusing on mine water management within the Water Resources Technical Team. You will lead hydraulic and hydrologic modelling, water balance and water quality investigations, and coordinate with hydrogeologists, geotechnical engineers, and mining professionals.

You will drive project scopes, budgets, client engagement, and regulatory compliance while mentoring junior staff and delivering

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate in a related field preferred.
• Professional registration with PEO or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years in consulting or regulatory environments.
• Experience with mine water management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage mine water resources projects through life of mine.
• Oversee multidisciplinary teams and coordinate inputs.
• Prepare proposals, work plans, and budgets.
• Document modeling results and field investigations.
• Travel to field sites as required.
