Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer to join the Markham office with consideration for any location across Canada. You will contribute to the Water Resources Technical Team, leading mine water management projects and applying hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, water balance, and water quality analyses.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior staff, manage budgets, and prepare proposals and reports while adhering to HSSE standards and regulatory

Qualifications

• Expertise in hydrology and hydraulics within Mine Water projects.
• Strong understanding of Canadian water resources legislation and guidelines.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams and client interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead mine water resources projects from baseline to closure planning.
• Design and supervise water management infrastructure and models.
• Prepare technical reports, proposals, and budgets.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate inputs across disciplines.
• Engage with clients and regulators to defend findings.
