Overview

We are currently looking for a Senior Manager, Infrastructure & Security to join our Information Technology Team. Reporting to the Vice President, Information Technology, this role is responsible for leading the strategic planning, implementation, and oversight of Semex’s IT infrastructure and cybersecurity posture. This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days in the office per week.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute infrastructure and cybersecurity strategies aligned with business goals
• Lead technology roadmaps, portfolio planning, and innovation initiatives
• Oversee the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of scalable, secure IT systems
• Ensure system reliability through high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning
• Manage service desk operations and optimize ITSM processes (incident, problem, and change management)
• Lead threat detection and response, including vulnerability assessments and incident handling
• Mentor and manage infrastructure, security, and service desk teams
• Oversee hiring, resource allocation, performance management, and professional development
• Manage budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships for infrastructure and security projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years in IT infrastructure or security roles, including 5+ years in leadership
• Hands-on experience with network design, disaster recovery, and business continuity
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity controls and monitoring tools
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
• Strategic thinking, leadership, and adaptability
• Certifications such as PMP, ITIL 4, CISSP, or CISM are considered assets
• Proven success in:
  • Leading large-scale initiatives and managing budgets
  • Defining long-term technical strategies aligned with business goals
  • Negotiating with external partners and managing internal expectations
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions
