We partner with our clients to design fit‑for‑purpose solutions that address their communities’ unique needs throughout the mining lifecycle. Our experts lead their fields and guide our work with technical excellence, an innovative spirit, and a vision for growth. We’re a place where you can apply your passion and collaborate with top talent on work that’s critical to our clients, our communities, and the industry at large.

The role will involve managing a multi‑discipline scope of work within a team of hydrologists, hydrogeologists, and geochemists and interacting directly with clients. Strong quantitative hydrogeology skills are required with the ability to interact with groundwater modelling and geochemical specialists.

  • Support business development efforts to build backlog not only with external clients, but also with Stantec engineering teams;
  • Prepare proposals, develop work plans/budgets, and manage projects/tasks;
  • Plan, coordinate, and support field programs including intrusive investigations;
  • Manage specialized contractors for site investigation related to groundwater sampling and testing;
  • Review field information from investigations; prepare reports including the interpretation of geological/hydrogeological conditions;
  • Interpret aquifer tests, characterize aquifers based on maps and other spatial data;
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams on baseline and impact assessment projects, feasibility studies, groundwater and surface water assessments, groundwater flow and transport models, and contaminant investigations;
  • Demonstrate sound application of established practices, standards and guidelines;
  • Prepare technical reports and client presentations summarizing project work, findings and recommendations. Perform QA/QC of technical documents/deliverables;
  • Travel as required to various field sites with overnight travel sometimes required;
  • Attend meetings and interface with clients, agencies, external consultants, contractors, sub-contractors, and/or vendors.
