Your responsibilities as part of the team will include planning, prototyping, implementing, unit testing and supporting enhancements, feature requests, bug fixes and, of course, documentation.

Your Responsibilities
  • Design and / or modify reusable web components for Radio-Canada’s digital platforms.
  • Design and / or modify presentation APIs in conjunction with back-end specialists and architects.
  • Ensure compliance with standards and monitor product quality throughout the project.
  • Keep up with the latest trends in the various digital development fields.
  • Be proactive and suggest solutions to challenges that arise.
  • Participate in Agile Scrum activities in order to review progress on projects in production and make the necessary corrections / adjustments, or to gauge the results of completed projects.
What You Bring
  • University or college degree / diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • Three or more years’ relevant experience
  • Proficient knowledge of JavaScript.
  • Proficient knowledge of React / Redux / RTK / Saga.
  • Experience with TypeScript.
  • Experience with GraphQL (Apollo).
  • Experience avec Styled-Components and / or Tailwind.
  • Experience with server-side scripting (API / GraphQL – client / server).
  • Experience with NodeJS.
  • Front-end performance optimization experience.
  • Experience with web / mobile accessibility standards.
  • Experience with an Agile methodology (Scrum).
  • Knowledge of object-oriented development and design patterns an asset.
  • Keen interest in major web trends and issues.
  • Diligence, independence and resourcefulness.
  • Analytical and conceptual mind.
  • Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
  • Solid command of French; working knowledge of spoken and written English an asset.

Please note this is a 12-month contract position, renewable annually. This regular position is not a consulting assignment but a long-term opportunity with attractive CBC / Radio-Canada employee benefits.
