Job summary

Affirm is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Marketing & Privacy Engineering (MPE). You will own architecture and reliability for high-traffic web experiences, integrating GTM, analytics, experimentation, and advertising APIs.

You will partner with Product, Marketing, Analytics, and Data teams to ensure privacy, consent, and data practices are built in from the start. You’ll lead with ownership, drive cross-functional collaboration, and raise the technical quality of the platforms you work

Qualifications

4+ years building and architecting web apps with declarative UI frameworks (React or Vue).
Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills and good code quality.
Hands-on web instrumentation, analytics, experimentation platforms and marketing APIs.
Experience designing reliable, performant web systems with privacy considerations.
Ability to define a technical plan for significant features with simple, extensible design.
Proven track record of making impactful changes in large codebases with safe practices.
Demonstrates ownership, seeks feedback, and communicates well with a global team.

Responsibilities

Own quarterly goals for the team and lead engineers through ambiguity.
Collaborate with product, design, and analytics to balance risks and trade-offs.
Identify and lead resolution of project, process, or technology issues.
Support operations and on-call efforts to keep artifacts available.
Set and improve code review and design standards across the team.
Mentor teammates and lead by example to grow talent.
