Job summary

Affirms is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Marketing & Privacy Engineering (MPE) team. You’ll own web architecture, reliability, and instrumentation for high-traffic consumer experiences, collaborating across product, marketing, analytics, and data engineering.

You’ll work with React or Vue, JavaScript/TypeScript, GTM, and measurement integrations, ensuring consent, tagging, and data collection are built in from day one with a focus on quality and ownership.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience building and architecting web applications using React or Vue.
• Proficient in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Hands-on with web instrumentation and marketing tech such as GTM, analytics, and experimentation platforms.
• Experience designing reliable, performant consumer web systems with attention to consent and tagging.
• Ability to define technical plans for significant features with clean, extensible design.
• Strong ownership, willingness to seek feedback and ship safely.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for global teams.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver quarterly goals for the team, guiding engineers through ambiguity.
• Collaborate with product, design, and analytics in ideation and decisions.
• Identify and lead solving project, process, or technology issues.
• Support operations and on-call efforts by monitoring metrics and keeping systems up.
• Foster quality and ownership by enforcing coding and design standards.
• Help develop team by mentoring and giving feedback.
