Job summary

Affirm in Canada is seeking a Senior Software Engineer on Marketing & Privacy Engineering to own web architectures and instrumentation across consumer web experiences, GTM integrations, and measurement systems. You will collaborate with product, marketing, analytics, and data engineering; lead teams, define technical plans for major features, and contribute to on-call reliability.

Remote-first, eligible to residents nationwide.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience developing and architecting web applications using declarative UI frameworks (React or Vue).
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with web instrumentation and marketing tech such as Google Tag Manager, analytics, experimentation platforms, and marketing APIs.
• Experience designing reliable, performant consumer web systems and understanding consent, cookies, tagging, observability and data collection.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver quarterly goals for the team and lead engineers through ambiguity.
• Collaborate with product, design and analytics in ideation and decision-making considering risks and trade-offs.
• Identify and lead resolution of project, process, technology or business issues.
• Support operations and availability of team artifacts with metrics and on-call efforts.
• Foster a culture of quality and ownership by setting code review and design standards.
• Develop team members by giving feedback and guidance.
