BDO Canada is looking for a Senior Associate to join our Cloud Accounting Operations team. This is a replacement role where the successful candidate will own the following responsibilities:

  • Provide efficient and accurate full cycle bookkeeping services using cloud-based systems
  • Perform bank account reconciliations, journal entries, accounts payable and accounts receivable management
  • Complete routine account analysis and bookkeeping assignments following established procedures
  • Prepare regular external filings, such as HST, and month-end financial reporting packages
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of government remittances and statutory/non-statutory deductions (EI, CPP, EHT)
  • Maintain open communication with clients, government agencies, and colleagues

Your experience and education

  • You have at least 2-3 years of hands‑on experience in bookkeeping, with in-depth knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices
  • You hold a post‑requisite education in Accounting or Finance, or have relevant experience in the field
  • You are proficient in using Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Experience in using software such as Quickbooks Online or similar operating systems is an advantage
  • You possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Salary range: $52,000-$89,000
